We were told that we didn't have enough dialogue in our trailer so we have planned more lines to record:

We have cut the list of fonts down to these two and now are deciding between the two.

Possible fonts
These are the 'scary' type of fonts that we have found to use for our inter titles. We will now choose which one we think is most suitable for our theme.

Comparing our magazine cover with a real magazine cover
The main similarities between these two is that the name of the film is located at the bottom of the cover in big font i.e. 'Harlequin' and 'Potter 7'. The tagline is also located under the film names i.e. 'His mind is her prison' and 'The end begins'. The colours used in our magazine incoporates our housestyle as it uses the colours purple white and black, to match the clown. The straplines on the right hand side matches the real magazine as it includes films of the same genre i.e. for ours, our genre is horror, so we have featured horror films such as 'House at the end of the street and 'The last exorcism'. The main image is of the main character in the films i.e. Harry Potter and in our own, the clown. The convention we used is the masthead and the text above it, 'The world's biggest movie magazine' informs the audience of its success and therefore may attract addtional readers.

Final Magazine
We inserted this photo from the ones we took into the magazine layout. We also darkened half of his face to cause suspense and excitement, and so that he isn't revealed fully until audiences watch the film/trailer.

Possible photos for the magazine
We have taken a few photos for the magazine using a torch, to give the effect that half of the clown is dark and hidden. We will now choose the best shot for our magazine.

Magazine Development
This is the improved layout we have developed so far. We have changed the straplines to be more relevant to a film magazine such as interviews from stars from our own movie. We have kept the same colours, which has also been used on our poster, as it is out housestyle: purple, white and black.

Magazine
We have chosen to use the same style as 'Empire' magazine. We drew up a draft on paper then began to use Adobe Photoshop Elements to create it on, including suitable strap lines to appeal to the correct audience.
We again have used the colours purple and white to match the house style and also reflecting the clown's colour. We just now need to take a more professional picture as the current one doesn't work too well, and need to consider what font styles to use.
This is what we have created so far, bearing in mind we will change the text and colours once we have taken a better photo.

Comparing our poster cover with a real poster
The main similarities between these two is that there is a simple layout with a black background, which shows the character half hidden so they aren't fully revealed to the audience. This can symbolize that the clown is disappearing into the dark, and with his finger to his mouth to show he has something to hide. He is a mysterious character, in which the audience must watch the film to find out. The titles are located at the bottom of the poster. We have added the tagline at the top which gives the audience a feel to what the film is about. Under the title at the bottom of the page, we have added other information such as actor names etc. which is in small font, as it is less important information.

Poster
We have taken this photo to use on our poster, of him holding his finger to his mouth to hint that he is hiding something - which can in a way persude the audience to watch the movie to see what he is hiding. We have used the colours purple and white throughout, to match the clown's face and the house style. We added symbols in the background which is the clown's motive, and a significant sign that will keep appearing in the trailer.
Feedback
The feedback we received was that there were too many symbols - so we have removed some of them. Also, that the colour of the text looked more 'pinkish' rather than purple - so we have changed it to a darker purple:
We thought that our poster revealed way too much of the clown so we decided to hide half of it by darkening it. This way it'll cause suspense and encourage the audience to watch the film in order for them to see the whole of him. This is the final poster:
